''I can make that.''
Is the phrase I often whisper to myself when shopping at stores beyond my financial reach. I believe that with a little resourcefulness and a willingness to try, the world can be ours. After years of project successes and failures, I have decided to share what has worked with all of you.
In my other life, I am a professional product designer, a home renovation novice, and most importantly a wife and mom. I have been sewing and restyling clothes since high school where my grades took a back seat to the OOTD. I have a degree in Apparel Design and I can build patterns with the best of them. After buying a fixer upper with laminate floors and a ton of potential, I overcame my fear of power tools. It’s not uncommon to catch me with a fleck or two of dried paint in my hair. In my free time, I can be found roaming the aisles of Home Depot, trolling for copper supplies and other bits of something shiny.
Thank you for joining me on this new path. My goal is to inspire the little voice in you to say, "Hmmm, I can make that."
"Wonder is the first of all passions."
